Project Life

I confess .. I am a Project Life Lover.
This is my very first year doing Project Life. I f you don’t know about it go and check it out on Becky Higgins website.
I found out about it on the Super Organiser Mum’s blog. Check it out here.

I have found it to be an easy way of documenting our life for my kids and us. My husband was looking through our album the other day and commented about how much he’d forgotten about the year’s events already.

Here is my latest favourite POTD (Photo of the day).

My Number one daughter's favourite toys at the moment and the crazy things she does with them. I feel these are things we will have forgotten in time so lets record them now.

Painting with kids

Today we did some painting with these sponge sticks I found at spotlight.

We do painting in our IKEA highchair as it is so easy to clean I never worry about the mess. We also have a thick clear plastic cover on our dining table to protect it from the kids and ourselves!

The Tupperware Cupboard

A few weeks ago it was time for a tidy up of that horrible cupboard –

The Tupperware Cupboard!

I love my Tupperware but towards the end of my pregnancy I began to hate it. This is only because I lacked the energy to put my Tupperware away properly. I have to confess that I simply chucked it in and shut the door as quickly as I could. Lucky for me we have child locks on the cupboard doors otherwise they would have opened up themselves and all the Tupperware would fall on the floor.

My darling number one daughter wanted to help and I let her.

It occupied her for at least an hour. After she went to bed I finished it.

My tips
  1. Firstly take everything out of your cupboard.
  2. Wipe down the shelves.
  3. Toss or donate what you don’t want or use.
  4. Group like for like or similar shapes (a rectangle together, bowls inside each other etc).
  5. For items that you use weekly keep the lids with the containers. For other not regularly used items select a large rectangle or square container and store all your lids in this.
  6. Put everything back in you cupboard making sure the things you use the most are at the front of the shelves.
  7. Stand back and admire your hard work.

Here I am!

Hi my name is Kaz.
I am a stay at home mum ... well until the kids go to school.
I have two beautiful little girls, nearly 2 years old and a newbie.
I love it but definitely need at least one latte a day to survive.
My addiction to coffee started when I first started teaching.
I feel very blessed to have a wonderful and supportive husband.
I love my life as a mum.
It was not easy to get where we are but we got there.
I am very passionate about all things to do with my kids.
I like to organize although I often get buried in life as everyone does
and lose track of my desire for a tidy and organized house.
You will note I did not say clean! Cleaning is not a passion
and I often get distracted by other things .. oops!
I also love camping, 4WDing, crafts, art and project life.
I can’t sew and I have a problem with procrastination.

I hope you like my blog.
